Full-Time Training - Testimonies

Growing in Life, C.C.

Ten years ago, when I received the Lord Jesus as my Savior, my only desire was to grow in life (1 Peter 2:2). I did not know the meaning of that term, yet there was something in my being that longed for this--just to grow in life. At that time, I gave myself to be with the Christian brothers and sisters from the local church and went to many young peoples conferences and retreats. After one year I noticed there was something different about me that others could see; in fact, many of the brothers and sisters told me: “You are growing in life. The Lord is growing in you.”

When I was in my senior year of high school some young people (in their 20's) came to the last conference I was going to attend, since I was about to graduate. The last evening of that conference they shared about something called the Full-Time Training in Anaheim. They started sharing, and in their sharing they said that the best place to be on this earth, a place where you can grow in life of Christ, is the Full-Time Training. After that, I consecrated myself to come to this wonderful place where I could get a lot of enjoyment of Christ with others who pursue the Lord with their whole being (2 Timothy 2:22).

This desire of growing in Christ's life was still in me. I found out that the training was for people who want to pursue the Lord and be soaked in the Word of God, the Bible (Philippians 3:12). So I said, “I want this.” I have the heart to pursue the Lord and to be in His Word enjoying Him with other young people my age. Today, this is my last term (semester) here in the Full-Time Training. And I have to say that I am growing more and more in the life of God. My two years of studying the Word of God and the ministry books written by Watchman Nee and Witness Lee have been wonderful. The more I read the Word and all these books written by these dear and faithful brothers, the more in love I fall with the Lord and the more I grow in the life of God. I thank the Lord that I had this wonderful experience of coming to this marvelous place, the Full-Time Training, where I have grown by the life of this wonderful person, Christ (Colossians 2:19; 1 Corinthians 3:6-7).
